Daniël is a friend and a very talented designer. He now has a large project on kickstarter, where you finally get the chance to buy from him.
The Stainless Steel cutlery ‘Quid Feci’ by designer Daniel van Dijck is a feast for the eye. His unusual designs come from a very personal experience, which he beautifully translates into material.

Together with Yuri Veerman, I made a video for the Kunstenbond.
Louis! I love him. A special portrait for the Volksbuurtmuseum in Utrecht.
My dear friend Casper! Also a portrait for the Volksbuurtmuseum in Utrecht.
Siba Sahabi and I worked together on the video-registration of her work Perspectives.
I also worked with Siba to make the documentary Obscura.
My dear friend Suus Kortbeek is a theater/film producer with her own Titaan Producties company, and I had the pleasure to take a portrait photo of her.
We planned a day this week; and it was terrible weather all the days before. We jokingly said that this was a high winds production.
Inspired by the work of Alhazen, Siba Sahabi created her project Obscura. Documentary film by Chris Rijksen.

How do you talk about a tricky subject as trans*people at work? We, with the Transketeers, took this quest and made it into a pubquiz! We took real and relatable stories and created challenging questions for in our Quiz. Maybe you can win the trophee. And please don’t take yourself too seriously.
Here is one of the questions for a little tease of the project.
This project is a collaboration from Transketeers with Artikel 1 midden Nederland, and is developed for Midzomergracht festival Utrecht.
I had the honour and pleasure to photograph the photographer Melanie Samat in her own office.
Darkrooms, for many people a place they never visited. For some people the place to experience a unique kind of intimacy. Stories from darkrooms often refer to (gay)men. Darkroom stories from women you don’t hear very often. That’s why we have 3 different stories from 3 different women who experienced a darkroom.

Lieke Sanders, who has her company Meubelbar, asked me to make a portrait.
In a rare occasion I did the photo coverage of the wedding of Thomas and Dominic yesterday, and although this is a quite intimate event, I was very happy to be a part of.
I work together with Werken zonder Grenzen (Working without Borders) to set up their crowdfunding campaign. Today it was a intense day of getting everything on tape, and in between I managed to shoot some portraits.
This summer I shot some commissioned portraits for transgenderinfo.nl
The website is now live and looking great, I’ll show you in a different post
Last week we did the summer shoot for the collection of next season for the shoes of Pretty and Fair. And we had our wonderful set-dog in the extremely pretty environment. Soon there are more pictures to be seen here of this shoot.
As I want to show you a bit of the mess I made for the photograph of UITWAS, I also want to point at the crowdfunding campaign they’re organising. Please take a look here for a video and an intriguing story.
The campaign is found at Voordekunst.
Today I made a mess with these two lovely people, Flore Muuse and Sophia van der Putten. In a few days I’ll show you a bit more of the process…
They are working on a performance, dance and theater mixed in the show LOS.
They have their own website at UITWAS.com
Today I shot the shoes of Pretty&Fair, 100% fair for people and the planet. Vegan shoes in pretty environs, with beautiful weather… even though we had to pretend it was winter for the collection.
So I had my most bad-ass shoot since ever. A bunch of girls organise every year the Basketball tournament Dunking Dykes and I was honoured to portray them for an interview. Unfortunately I cannot show all the images yet, but I have one from a behind the scenes moment that I cannot resist not sharing.
Commissioned work for the Pride Photo Award 2014, portraits of the jury members Simon Njami, Jan van Breda, Sharon Sliwinski, Sujon Song and David Deitcher.
Alternative selection, published photos are available here.
